We are Bluefish!

Hailing from the picturesque shores of Bainbridge Island, WA, Bluefish is a dynamic band blending elements of rock, folk, and blues.

Formed in 2022, Bluefish has been making a splash in the Pacific Northwest music scene with their captivating performances and infectious melodies and harmonies.

Bluefish delivers a danceable, sonic experience that resonates with audiences of all ages. Their music draws inspiration from the beauty of the Pacific Northwest landscape, weaving familiar tales of love, loss, and the human experience.

Betsy Peabody grew up singing with her sister, and just for fun.  She started singing with her first band, Out of Order, in 2015.  These days, Betsy loves tagging along and mixing it up with the other Bluefish players, who bring some serious musical chops to a great collection of familiar songs.

Mark Schneider grew up playing keyboard, trumpet, and drums and was a member of several jazz bands.  He picked up guitar a few years ago and loves learning new guitar riffs from Joe. Mark and Betsy previously played and sang together in the band Out of Order.

Joe Van Dyke has been playing since 5th grade and started playing in rock bands in high school.  A few years back he learned Mandolin too.  He sings a bit and loves all kinds of music.

Bassist (bass fish) Elray Konkel has been a musician all of his life.  Loves all genres and the challenges that they bring.  Sings some blues and rhythm and blues tunes and some backup. Loves the rhythm section and support side of the band.

Dave Memke, AKA "Island Dave", percussion and vocals. "When I was a little boy, my mama told me I could play any instrument but the drums. Sorry Mom!" Dave can be found performing in and around western, western Washington, playing in several other bands (but Bluefish is his favorite).
